Waking up on 17th November 2013 in disbelief that Sachin Tendulkar will no longer be part of Indian outfit,wearing Indian colors. Twenty four years ago on 15th November 1989 he started his wonderful journey and overnight became a boy wonder to whom we fondly called 'Tendlya', In the process of 24 years he grew in stature and became Bharat Ratna Sachin Tendulkar from 'Tendlya'. He changed the dynamics of how cricket is played in sub-continent by taking n the pacers in their own den (Australia,South Africa, England), by meeting fire with fire and controlled aggression. You taught us to dream and dream big and chase the dreams at the time when youngsters were opting for foreign destination as better future prospect, you changed it all and today 24 years down the line we feel proud to be Indians. Sir you had all the shots in thee book and not only all the shots but you had multiple ways to play each delivery was gifted with extra- ordinary timing and impeccable way of finding gaps. Today its thanx giving time for the numerous unforgettable memories you gave us to make us feel proud. I love the quote by West Indiam skipper Darren Sammyy who became an overnight villain by halting Gods career on 74 by catching him in slips corden - He said 'we should learn from India as to how to treat a hero' but at the same time i wuld like to correct him by saying he is not our hero he is God and Indians surely know how to worship their God.1 banner caught my eye stating Gods dont retire,off course Sachin has become immortal.Cricketing world will be known as BS and AS i.e before Sachin and after Sachin. Lets wait for Vishnus 12th incarnation in some other century, maye playing some other sport, till then the Flicks,Glances,Cuts (upper cut,Square cut),Drives (Straight drive,Cover drive,On drive),Punch down the ground will be sorely missed.
